Concept
Optical sensor images the print; a small DSP stores templates, not raw photos usually.

Adafruit Fingerprint library over UART 57600. Capacity ~100–300 templates. In the classroom, treat AS608 Optical Fingerprint Sensor as a intermediate part using UART.
