Concept
A small coil magnetically closes a mechanical switch rated for mains or DC loads.
A little theory
Flyback diode on coil. Optocoupler isolates MCU. COM/NO/NC contacts. In the classroom, treat 5V Relay Module (1-channel, opto) as a beginner part using Digital IN.
