The Arduino Nano is the same ATmega328P brain as the UNO, shrunk onto a DIP-style PCB that plugs into a solderless breadboard. Ideal when the project must stay compact or ride inside a chassis.
Still a 16 MHz 5 V AVR with the same pin current limits and 10-bit ADC as UNO. Headers are 0.1″ pitch. Many Indian clones use a CH340 USB-serial chip and mini-USB or Type-C. Bootloader variants matter: “ATmega328P (Old Bootloader)” vs new — wrong choice causes upload timeouts. Reset is tied to DTR through a capacitor so the IDE can auto-reset for upload. In the classroom, treat Arduino Nano as a beginner part using GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, analog. Typical India street price is about ₹180–₹450. Always verify voltage and pin labels on your exact module — silk screens vary across clones. Start with a datasheet or trusted learn guide, power the part correctly, share GND with the MCU, and test with a simple blink/read sketch before building the full project.
