Concept

USB CDC to 3.3/5 V UART: TX, RX, GND, often DTR/RTS.

A little theory

UART is asynchronous NRZ. Common baud 9600–115200. Cross TX↔RX. In the classroom, treat USB to TTL Serial (CH340 / CP2102) as a beginner part using USB UART. Typical India street price is about ₹80–₹220. Always verify voltage and pin labels on your exact module — silk screens vary across clones. Start with a datasheet or trusted learn guide, power the part correctly, share GND with the MCU, and test with a simple blink/read sketch before building the full project.
